The Aquinnah cliffs are composed of over one hundred feet of sediment, created by six different glaciers. The result is a beautiful array of red, orange and white clays. Over the years the clay has been used to make pottery, paint and even the bricks used to build the original Aquinnah Light in the late 1700's. Today the cliffs are a National Historic Landmark and removing the clay is prohibited by law.
You can bring part of Aquinnah to your home through our furniture and paint colors inspired by this favorite Vineyard spot. And - stay tuned in the coming weeks for the release of our new 'Aquinnah' pieces.
